Going with the Flow

The Wii Ware I feel is an underrated arena for online games, but like a well eventually it fills up with fresh new water.

There is just so much to like about this platform action game, to me is another good example of less is more. There is no story doesn't need one, you just simply try and clean out the four enviorments from some evil ink, by finding all the rainbow drops, that it so just press start and do just that.

I love the graphical design of the levels which make is seem like a comic book. Even it's non linear structure are comic book panels. In each of the levels there is so much to see and do so the game really keeps you busy for a long time. There are certain tasks you have to do or certain things to find before you get from point A to B. Or if you want find secret passages to receive more items there are plenty of those.

But the highly is definitely the fact that you control an element, which is not something I see in video games a lot the only other one I can think of is the underrated "Mercury Meltdown" series. What you control really feels and behaves like water there are even certain physics principles involved.

Control is solid though not perfect (I'll get to that latter). It's like with the game "And Yet it Moves" (game I reviewed) this game is basically like those liquid desk toys or even those rotation labyrinth puzzles it's really a mater of physics that will get you from point A to B.

Another great thing is the fact that as you get further you'll be able to transform into ice and a rain cloud (both elements related to water) as well as their abilities and the physics principles involved with them like shooting lighting at enemies or freezing to stick to walls. The boss battles are great which are more of a platform action collection process which I think is cool because it's a non cliche way as opposed to the cliche of always having to hit the boss at the exact spot numerous times.

The game though does have one tiny oil spill and this is the same problem I felt the game "De Blob" (game I review) is that the control sometime can be a little dodgy mainly on jumping, which a time can make the platforming a bit cumbersome. Don't get me wrong I can still get to point A and B with minimum problems
I just felt the control dynamic on jumping could of been tighter and better.

Fluidity has the right flow.
