gamespot has given it a cruel rating. I deserves alot more recognition because from the first second I was hooked!
-clever and well thought out story plot
-characters make you want to meet them in real life
-simple combat system but yet still challenging
-cutscenes and 3D battles look stunning

Well some people may call me a bit new at fire emblem since this is the second one I played (played four now) but of my impression this is a brilliant game with a few tiny flaws which have prevented it from getting higher than a 9.
First off gamespot made a major mistake when they gave it a weak story emblem because out of everything the story made me feel like playing more and I have never even played path of radiance.
The battle system is rather simple with their being a rock paper scissors thing happening. Unlike the previous GBA games if you dont follow it wont dramatically change the outcome. Infact throughout the entire game I was more focused on destoying the guy than what weapon I would use. And in the end It worked out just fine.
Now for the new person playing stratergy games I would highly recomend not starting you fire emblem journey on this game, why you may ask because it gets extremely difficult as you go and unless you look up a guide, you may have many times you restart because one of you favorite characters die.
the final thing I want to put a quick note on is the cutscenes. The graphic work they put into them is absolutely stunning and if they put half the effort they did on graphics on voice acting, they would have some of the best cutscenes ever, sadly it was not to be. They put extremely little time into voice acting and it could have been improved alot. Also the minor cutscenes (like them talking about a stratergy at a map) the graphics have been extremely weak for even wii standards, although just a minor problem, it still is a problem
Overall this game is brilliant and if you are an old fan of fire emblem or you are new and are ready for an extreme challenge, this is the game for you.
