If you're wanting a game to hold your hand, look elsewhere.

It seems as though the reviewer for this game is not a fan of the genre itself. And especially not for games that can be a bit more challenging that anything seen this generation.

Simply put, this game is hard. Unashamed of it's difficultly at any point in time. ESPECIALLY in the beginning of most chapters. In fact, that is my largest criticism of the game at all. It's got a pretty odd difficulty curve. Some of the most difficult levels are those you'll be stuck in 7-8 missions from the start of the game.

Another complaint is how the new cast for 10 is simply worst than that of 9. Less exciting in terms of character design, and worse-off in terms of playability. However, this is part of the game's design, so you can't fault them too much for this. When you get a hold of your precious characters from Path of Radiance, it'll feel GOOD. It's supposed to.

Besides that, there's not too much to say. It can be annoying at how dumb certain characters (Micaiah) can be, and for quite a while, you have a character that practically exhales villain-aura hanging around with your characters, the rest of the cast too dumb to notice.

The graphics are decent, marginally improved from the previous title. The music is, as always, good. A lot of the menu design has been improved, both graphically and in terms of functionality. However, why they moved the shop from being per-character to for the entire cast, I'll never know.

Also, they killed the character individuality for support conversations, replacing them with a bland back-and-forth. Oh well, you can't fit it all.
