This game made a story out of nowhere, but it can easily be accepted as the game goes by, making players inmerse in it.

Amazingly, a ilogical sequel was made into a great game, giving plaers a better combat mode (in my opinion), adding the random encounters to the FFXIII, viewed encounters. Also taking away the boring weapon leveling part and giving us the creature taming. It's like pokemón more savage and blood thirsty, (except for Cait Sith LOL) One thing i disliked was the non-story related leveling. The first game gave us the story unlocked abilities, but on this one you can be whatever you want but you can't have any paradigm you want at the same time because of the 3 monster limit. Only using 3 monsters, that share it's HP percentage it's no good at all. How is someone supposed to have a versatile gaming when one of your character can only use 3 out of 6 of the specialities of the game.
For closing, this game can disapoint a lot of FF fans, but going back to old school is just a lost cause. Modern gaming has to adecuate and innovate in order to keep existing. Don't expect gaming companies to keep making the turn based RPGs because it's everlasting but a complete ciche.
