User Rating: 3.5 | Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Limited Collector's Edition) X360
Final Fantasy. A series never intended to be a massive hit an albeit meta joke of its creators swan song. Now rated along the most known series. But after this i am starting to lose faith.

the premise of the story is the character *vacantly placed on the ps3 cover* has been transported to an unknown land called Valhalla.... actually screw the story it is a bigger catastrophe then the challenger shuttle. All you need to know is Sarah and random time traveller (noel No-ol) need to save lightning from Valhalla. If i gave you a proper explanation i may as well be writing a harry potter book. The characters are terrible at best. The main enemy is someone who want to merge time and space into Valhalla making death meaningless... Ultimecia called she wants her script back. Its a shame as the character (caius) was my favorite as he just wanted to save the person he loved from dying over and over and over and over and over and over... ok maybe thats a little much MOVING ON.

The battle is similar to XIII's with minor improvement to make it a rather neat system. One thing that is mysteriously unexplained IS HOW SARAH CAN STILL **** USE MAGIC, SHES NOT A L'CIE. another thing that is mysterious is the ease of this game. The hardest boss in the game is in fact the final boss meaning that no super bosses have been included. NO ONE **** WITH THE SUPER BOSSES. My main quarrel though is the fact that... once you beat the game there is absolutely no reason to keep playing. sure there a fragments and a few moderate enemies to unlock hidden endings. But there is nothing you really want to work for. I beat the game, went to the (DLC) colliseum to unlock lightning and never came back to this game. The sad thing is how much replayability this game thinks it has. it thinks live action sequences are enough. THEY ARE NOT. The only real thing that prolonged this games length was the graviton core hunting. If you dont have the internet or a guide then you will probably have another 10 hours cocked to your game on this one **** mission. That actually may have under stated how long. other wise this game could be completed maybe 7-8hours tops.

Another thing that absolutely made me rage was the fact that it PLANS you to get DLC. Wanna go in the colliseum. NAH DLC. Wanna play the EXCITING new game in serendipty? NAH DLC. Im mainly ticked off about the colliseum being DLC because arenas to fight tough monsters are a staple of Final Fantasy. And you have to purchase EACH INDIVIDUAL BATTLE for 240 MP. YOU WILL DIE NOW.

In the end rent this if you can bare this cruddy story and groping progression keeping in mind you can max level by the end of the game with trying. I'd have got a refund at game for the week ownage if the graviton mission didn't take a whole week.
