Final Fantasy Falling.

Yeah sure, being MrFinalFantasy, you would have thought the reviews would be glitz and glamour highlighting every single success in this game and pointing to the masses that this game deserves a perfect 10.00. Well, what's the point of having USER GAME REVIEWS when people start to be biased. a 7.5 for Gamespot is easily justifiable, unfortunately, an 8 would be a better score.

Well, as the games starts in its opening sequence. you see a purple haired guy fighting against lightning in an ancient place which they call VALHALLA (no norse gods?) sure. the opening sequences draw you in. the gameplay's fantastic compared to Final Fantasy XIII. from the opening match you can tell that fights are now much more balanced and much faster than the previous entry. an example would be being able to switch characters when your main controlled character fell in battle. an easier way to get pre-emptive strikes (enemy spawns close to you and give you a window of time for you to strike the enemy first if not. there goes your chances) the ability to capture monsters. well most of em (ala POKEMON.) and chances for live action hurrahs like those in Uncharted Series. and all in all. a chance to speak to multiply NPC's. be it shops and other etceteras

questing also improve in a sense. FInal Fantasy XIII's side quest are kinda boring and there's not really much interaction between NPCs and the Party characters. for this case. there's alot more interaction. finally they got things right for this bad part of final fantasy. a chance to actually care for the quest givers and also a better time trying to complete quests and being able to complete it nets you stuffs like FRAGMENTS whereby you collect alot of it and you get special "powers" later in game (oh i love that particular power where you go at twice the normal speed. makes farming materials a beast)

Leveling wise. trust me. its soooo damn easy to maximise your characters level. all you have are 6 skills per character the standard Assault, Ravager. the Defensive Sentinel and Medic. or the Enhancers and Weakeners Saboteurs and Synergists. and you can increase all these skills to a maximum of Level 99. problem thing is. its easy to get all of them to get to 99. maybe that's why the game is easy. even on normal difficulty.

the only qualms i have on this game is its story. the story mostly only involve 2 characters SERAH FARRON (Lightning's younger sister) and a Hunter from the future (NOEL KREISS). Her mission is to save Lightning, His mission is to change the future. goodness. i can think a hell lot of grandfather paradoxes when it comes to changing time. yup. only 2 playable characters and 3 monsters that can be interchanged for only 1 party slot. sure Time Travel seems like an option for a game. cept SquareEnix lost the ability to create something in the mold of CHRONO TRIGGER OR CHRONO CROSS. hell! if they wanted to make a game on time travel, just make a new CHRONO SERIES! (i miss chrono series! the last game was on Playstation!)

But then again, i've already completed Final Fantasy XIII. and really actually enjoyed the ending. the fall of the great Fal'Cie and the sacrifices of Vanille and Fang. and the resuscitation of Dajh and Serah. its actually a heart warming ending that deserves no sequel whatsoever.

then they made FFXIII-2 (MILKING THE FANS. i play it as an obligation) the story was bad. everybody is going to agree that Final Fantasy XIII-2 has the worst ending in Final Fantasy History.

well. i don't wanna talk so much over here. just that. Final Fantasy XIII-2 proves to me that it has fallen so far as to milk people from the Final Fantasy name. what happen to the age of great final fantasies? be it as it may. i hope you enjoy this little pep talk and hope you actually find the game better than me. its totally not Final Fantasy in my eyes anymore. Good Game. Bad Story. and as we know. Final Fantasy is about 1 thing. Good Story. =)
