The most epic MMORPG ever...

User Rating: 9 | Final Fantasy XI: Vana'diel Collection 2008 PC
Final Fantasy XI. If there is one MMO I could call my home away from home, it's this. This is an amazing MMO full of challenge, adventure, battle, and fun. What's more, this particular version contains all 4 Main Expansion Packs, giving you more bang for your buck.

Gameplay: MMORPG

There are actually a few different gameplay options in this game. There's battling, adventure, fishing, alchemy, cooking...OK, there's a LOT of gameplay options in this game. Too many to explain at once, so I'll stick to the basics. Battling is half-automatic, half-manual control. Your character will enact melee attacks by themselves without any input from the player, but magic and abilities require input from the player. The cool part is, you can set magic and abilities as "Macros", which is basically hotkeys, making your response time quicker. Adventuring is, well, adventuring. You run around exploring on foot, or by riding a giant yellow bird called a Chocobo.

Graphics: Good

The graphics are good, but not great, because this game was released 8 Years Ago. Don't quote me on that, because I'm not entirely sure if it was 8 Years Ago. All the same, graphics don't really matter to me. What matters here is the amazing gameplay.

Story: Uhhhh...

Believe it or not, as long as I've been playing this game, I have yet to get through any of the Storylines. I mostly just fool around by fighting Monsters or talking to my friends. As such, I don't know much of this game's story. Sorry everyone.

Music:

One of the only things I don't like about this game is it's music. Usually, the Final Fantasy Series Composer, Nobuo Uematsu, does a great job, but I think he was stumped on this one, as it's music is bland and pretty lifeless, no matter what area your exploring.

Final Word:

This is a great game. No matter what anyone says to me, I will always think it's great game. It's challenging, time consuming, and just plain fun. As a long time player of Final Fantasy XI, I hope it's here to stay for a very long time. Thanks for reading my review.
