User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy X (Mega Hits!) PS2
To start off, I would just like to say that this game did give me some teardrops.

Final Fantasy has been around for a long time and is one of the best series in the world with so many tittles, and so many upgraded games coming to newer systems (e.g. Final Fantasy III and IV now for the DS), and many people still playing the series. But I personally think that this Final Fantasy is the bext out of all of them.

Final Fantasy X provides many features, and characteristics that any person will like. The game provides a brilliant story about a young women, a summoner who is one her way to defeat the suffering of all of Spira, and all the people from a monster called Sin. She is hoping to defeat it as her father, High Summoner Braska did. But some things get a little more complicated as a young man named Tidus comes into the life of Yuna and her friends, and romance begins to spark.

The characters and music in the game is excellent. Most of the events that occur always have some music in the background, and this music really makes the game more emotional, and even better. With a total of seven characters to play with in battle, there is much experimenting to be done. Characters such as Auron, Yuna, Tidus, and Lulu make the game very interesting as well.

The way this game is setup is very different from all the other Final Fantasies. In FFX there is a system called a Sphere Grid which is a big grid, of about 400 circles that let you increase your stats such as Strength, Magic, Evasion .etc., and many spells, and special techniques. Each character has a part of this grid to complete, and after they have completed their part of the grid, identifying what job they are (Black Mage, White Mage, Warior .etc.) then they may make they're way into another characters part and learn their spells, and attributes. Trying to complete the whole sphere with each character can take much time, but it is possible. Another cool feature in the battle sytem is overdrives, which are sort of like special, powerfull attack that are very usefull in boss battles. Some overdrives you just have to fill your bar up and then use it, but some like Tidus, Auron, Lulu, and Wakka you have to do small mini puzzles that should take you about 5-10 seconds to determine the power of your overdrive. And yes, this is still turn based combat.

Instead of the card games in previouse Final Fantasies, there is a new mini game called Blitzball. This sport is famouse through Spira, and is actually very fun, and interesting. The sport is a mix between, Soccer, Football, and Swimming. Players are underwater and they try to win the sport by trying to get goals. Shootong and Passing are the keys to winning a leage or a tournament. You can also learn some special techniques to improve your players.

Lastly, a language called Al'Behd is in Spira. The language is unkown to you at first and you can not understand it but as you travel across Spira, you will collect books that teach you letters for the language such as A=J from Al'Behd language to English, this is a small little collectors feature to the game that i suggest doing so you can understand all of the dialouge from the NPC's.

There are also many mini games or side quests that you can participate in to gain extra powerful items or get the power up items to improve each character's legendary weapon. Side quests such as chocobo breeding, dodging lighning bolts, capturing monsters for an arena, and many more make the game even longer than you would have expected. With all of these things to do, and collect you could probably get 100 hours or at least close to 100 hours.

Overall this games should be a 10 with it's good graphics, excellent voice acting, amazing story, superb music and fun battle system and character development. Unfortunately, with some minor annoyances and issues, Final Fantasy X is rated as a 9.5 (Superb).
