This game rocks!

User Rating: 9.5 | Final Fantasy VI Advance GBA
Since 2004, the first two Final Fantasy was remake, people of the GBA world always wanted Nintendo to remake the others. As time pass by Final Fantasy III, IV, and V was released. And, finally, in 2007, the last game of the FF series on NES, SNES was published.
And it was awesome!
For anyone who doesn't know about the story, it's different. Normally JRPGs focus on one, or a small group of characters. But with FF VI, it brings you the big picture. You won;t follow the path of some certain characters, you will have the chance to experience the war trough different points of view.
With this point of view, someone may find it hard to catch up, but this make the story much more interesting. Not just the point of view, the story itself is a huge success. It's about a war between a rebel group and the evil emperor who wants to take over the world. You will start as one person with "magic". She became the target of both the empire and the rebel, but finally discover her true self and With the help of her friends, she won against the empire and bring peace.
The story has so many twists and so exciting, and it has so any lesson of betrayal, friendship and brotherhood that it makes you think you're reading a novel, not playing a game. The game also impress you with its environment. It's a mix of the old-school world with the economic era. The house, the people, both have a scent of the old days, but has the advance technology that makes you wonder: How does my world isn't awesome as this?
Just like the other JRPGs, the world is open and you can interact with almost anything. You can come into houses, talk to peoples to find information and items, or you can search certain objects to find items, too. Not just that, there are many interesting bonus to this game. You get to shop for items, ride a Chocobo, or an airship, and you will be in many, many interesting situation and can make you laugh to tear. The world in this game is better than ever!
The characters in this game is also very interesting. You all knows how you play a character in a GBA-JRPG: you move with your D-pad, interact things with A, and run with B.L and R isn't used much. In the battle, you change the command using D-pad, execute with A, and cancel with B. Each character of your party and the enemy party will attack in turn, just like normal. But there are two interesting thing: First, the Active Time Battle(ATB).You won't have to take turn waiting, once your bar is full, you can attack. Two, there are no such thing as black magic, white magic, red magic. Because this game is based on an era that magic almost disappeared, characters will be more different than each other. Terra-the first character is the only wizard, Locke is a thief and has "special" ability, Edgar is a king with mechanical skill and Sabin-Edgar's little brother is a martial artist and has special martial arts moves and more. There are a variety of characters for you too choose from, making the game more replayable and add more strategy to the game.
But random encounters in this game are just punishing. You meet enemy almost after 5-15 steps. In some special areas, you encounter rate is 2-5steps/battle!
Like any Square Enix game, FFVI has beautiful graphic. Even if the game is 2D, the environment and characters are beautifully drawed. The shining light, the splashing water, the sand and the grass... they are just real. And the music... it's enchanting, with sweet melody that can make you listen over and over.
Once again, Square Enix didn't disappoint us.
