It gets a little tedious at the half-way mark but it's still a must have game for any RPG fan.

User Rating: 8.5 | Final Fantasy VI Advance GBA
Final Fantasy VI (Known as III on the SNES) is often considered the best of the Final Fantasy series (yes, even more so than your beloved VII) because of it's incredible story, amazing characters and one of the best Villains of all time. "Mwa ha ha ha ha!". No that was Kefka, I didn't go insane. But I digress, onto the review. Unlike other Final Fantasies, Final Fantasy VI doesn't revolve around one person more so than a whole company of Misfits. I mean, yes there is a main Character and that character's name is Terra but each character has an equal amount of detail and involvement with the plot to be important. Anyway, the basic story is about a group of rebel fighters known as 'The Returners' out to the stop the evil Imperialistic Empire. That's about as much plot I can drop without revealing any spoilers. Let's just say it gets better as it goes along. As I said before, you get to control a large and unique cast of characters, which is a great feature. being able to control whoever you want, whenever you want from start to finish really adds some depth to moving the game forward. There's probably a good 11 characters you'll meet up with, including 3 more optional ones each with their own unique traits and skills. For example: Locke is a Thief and he can steal items from enemies. Cyan is a Samurai and can unleash devastating sword techniques depending on how long he waits to attack. Setzer is a Gambling man and uses the slot machine to determine what kind of attacks he uses. Their all unique in their own way making them all very likeable and strong. Graphics are normal for a GBA, not outstanding but not bad either. Music is fitting and catchy although somewhat toned down from the SNES version. The only thing that I dislike about this game is that, without spoiling anything, the second half of the game is all sidequests. ALL Sidequests. It sounds good because there is a lot to do but it makes you feel lost and pressured as to whether or not you'll be strong enough for the final dungeon, which, in my opinion is a bit of a pushover anyway. So you basically spend all this time to level up, find good equipment and learn powerful Magic that, by the time you've done that, you've forgotten what was happening in the story and have kind of lost interest anyway.
In conclusion though, it's a great game. You may lose some interest halfway through and could be a little unsatisfied by the final dungeon or story's climax but from start ot finish it is a highly enjoyable game that will keep you entertained for hours on end.
