I thought this game was pretty boring at the beggining....after 10 hours of playing I understood it is not.

Well, I can't lie. I am very accustomed to button-smashing (as seen in Fable or Kingdom Hearts) and turn-based systems, which I have the ability to make run real fast, not stopping to chose the options, instead deciding my move quickly and move on with the plot.
For a person like me, and a lot of people out there, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (FFTWOTL), isn't the most appealing game in terms of speed. It has a slow pace, that you should follow with patience, and, if a person who has English as its second language (like me), I highly recommend you to pay attention to the dialoguea, because it's not a cup of cake for us, foreigners.
The battle-system is indeed a turn-based system. However, it is not the basic system we see on Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX or Final Fantasy X. Although you have the typical commands, like "attack", "items", "black magic" or "white magic", the battle runs on a scaled map, with elevations and different floor patterns, that you should use as an advantage against your opponent.
Also, in this game, the battles are of great importance, for they are what really "moves" with the plot. In FFTWOTL you can't be on a town, talking to persons and entering shops and houses, trying to find a hidden treasure on someone's closet. You are restrited to the battles and a map, where you can travel region to region; You also have a little menu on each town, where you can hire warriors, buy equipment and hearing the last rumors on the tavern.
There's no big world-player interaction in this game, since you are limited to your warrior's development and your battle techniques.
FFTWOTL is fun, noble and distinct, and a great reborn of the PS title.
