Final Fantasy Tactics is Squaresoft's answer to Enix's Tactics Ogre - using similar style of gameplay but mixing up with a few new unique features/styles and the Final Fantasy series' magic touch, Squaresoft was able to create a masterpiece that has a storyline which rivals even the mainline series. With a great addictive gameplay structure, a deep dark storyline and a well made soundtrack - FFTactics is considered to be one of the best Spinoffs of the Final Fantasy series if not considered already the best.
