When I completed Fire Emblem 2 I was worried I'd never find a Tactic game as good or as expansive as any of the Fire Emblem games. While at Gamestop a worker pointed me towards Final Fantasy Tactics A2 and I wasn't sold, it looked childish and made for more beginners then advanced Tacticians like myself. However after playing it for about 5 hours my mind is changed. The games graphics are really good especially for a Gameboy DS game. The story makes more sense then the first game and the character customization works more smoothly, characters advance more quickly and learning abilities is more easier. The gameplay is essentially the same, with more diverse enemies and a more interesting map layout, no more creating your own make, which always felt like a broken system, no more taking items with each mission again a broken system. Instead missions are more seamless and easy to complete. Granted the challenge level is not too high but there is an added option to increase difficulty so a second play through is worth playing. This games makes a great learning game for anyone interested in tactical games, and once you play it you won't want to stop, so get prepared for a lengthy, high level of customization and interesting game worth playing, don't let the kiddie looks and soft conversations to deter you from giving this game a shot. Theres no death, murder or wild power crazy bosses just interesting and complex detailed maps with smart character customization, so pick up a copy.
