With an aary of characters ranging from the wirtua fighter series, virtua cop, and sonic: an fighter that was missed.
The overall array of characters in fighters megamix is astounding. Ranging from bizarre (virtua cop) to rare characters (bean from sonic the hedgehog), to the main virtua fighter VS fighting vipers. One of the first fighter games to bring out an array of different characters of different series and genres to battle in a fighter game.
The matches featured a player on player match that contained either a stage for ring outs or a blowable/break able cage. Controls for the characters weren't as clunky as most fighters. It was workable in all aspects. There were also options whether what type of speed of fighting to choose (between the realistic and slower paced virtua fighter speed or the fighting vipers).
Graphics for its day and age were top notch with no loss of quality at all. Sound value featured music from all different aspects of each characters genre/game.
This was truly one fighter game that is quite, rare and was totally missed for its time. It was one of the pioneers to feature a multitude of playable characters from different genres.
Truly, the saturn and most of its games were all pretty much dark horses to be classics due to the competition of its day and age. Fighters Megamix, would most likely fit within that category.
