While it looks almost identical to Fifa 11, there's been quite some fine-tuning under the hood. There is a lot more fun to be had with Fifa 12! The games is a little slower and the controls are tighter, so they game feels both more realistic and more fun to play. The commentary is also less repetitive and sometimes surprisingly accurate. The stadium sound is fine, but at times goes completely quite, which is very odd. I hope this will be addressed in a future update. The overall feel and presentation in the menus is great and close to what you get on a real console.
What really stands out though is playing the iPad version with two iOS devices as gamepads (connected via bluetooth). Just had tons of fun with a friend and for a moment there we forgot that we weren't playing this on a console. As I am working in a developing country, having this experience is quite frankly priceless. Most portable fun I've ever had with a football game!
