A refreshing change...

Pretty much the only thing that keeps people buying from the Fifa franchise is the official Fifa liscense. PES and Winning Eleven soccer games are much more realistic and have wayyyy better gameplay then Fifa does so I would recommend those over this one. Fifa is catching up though and 06 has been a big step forward from 05. Fifa 06 has the better graphics then any soccer game to date. The problem comes with the gameplay. The notorious "sweet spot" (where you run up to the post and just shoot right in.. the goalie doesnt even dive giving you a free goal.) poses a boring solution to any scoring drought but dont expect to have any such drought playing this game. Let me put in frank terms.. the goalies SUCK! Even if you DO complete the various challenges in the game to unluck legendary the goalies STILL SUCK! 06 is easily the best game in the franchise and if you are a big fifa fan I highly recommend it for you, but if you are new to soccer games or just looking for a refreshing change I recommend PES which has alot more to offer.
