Yea, sure it's scripted and linear...................were you expecting a F.E.A.R. expansion to be any different? No surprises here, it's still DX 9c, with what appears to be a mildly tweaked version of the F.E.A.R. engine. The good news is, what was a hardware hog two years ago, runs smooth as glass on newer rigs, and at what were originally unobtainable resolutions. Same great sound, atmosphere, and gameplay though. 3 new weapons (and I like all of them) plus all the oldie but goodies. A couple of new enemy types and some more detail in the F.E.A.R. storyline. The game is showing it's age in the tight very linear levels (great gameplay is having an increasingly hard time overcoming a legacy from the golden old school shooter years). It's time to move on and this expansion is a great way to wrap up this trilogy!
