Even big-time Family Guy fans can get frustrated by this game full of reused jokes and repetative tasks.

Family Guy has come out with its own licensed video game, and usually, and I think many people will agree with me, games based on things on TV or in movies usually SUCK!!! For example… Superman. But the game is not entirely bad. You only get to use three characters: Peter, Stewie, and Brian, and they all have different mission styles to perform. Peter is fighting; Stewie is shooting; Brian is stealth. Even though they go through different missions, the tasks a single character performs can get very repetitive very fast. For example, Peter runs around beating people up in hopes to find Mr. Belvedeer (did I spell it right?). I saw a preview that the stories will interconnect, but I haven't seen it happening. I thought Stewie in Peter's body would affect his story, but it doesn't. Also, Brian connects with nothing but tapes and files. Also, areas and cutscenes can get pretty random. One minute you're kicking kids, the next, you're the black, disco Peter. Right now I'm with Brian in Jolly Farm. Why? Don't ask me.

Another thing that kinda confused me was the flashback mini-games… and man, they are mini. They can literally take less than 2 seconds to beat. Like the one with Rufus and you jump on the chair. On the plus side, it still contained the humor that Family Guy delivers, and it's twice as offensive. But if you watch the show, you'll begin to notice that much of the dialogue is old and cut from previous episodes.

If you think the game is going to be as good as the show… you're wrong. It's more like half-as-good as the show. Don't buy it, just rent it, or borrow it from a die-hard fan. But still, it's okay. Just don't spent money on it… I can't stress it enough.
