Fun but not as good as the other DLCs. Still worth playing.

User Rating: 7.5 | Fallout: New Vegas - Honest Hearts PC
Honest Heart's main draw is the story. You get to meet The Burning Man from Caesar's tribes lore. The wonderful narration together with the key decision you need to make at the end is for me its best element.

Unlike the other DLCs HH is an exploration driven escapade through what I would say is old Indian country, as you would see in a cowboy movie. Indeed the faction involved are just post-war versions of some of those tribes. Perhaps if you haven't done much fieldcraft or made use of your survival skill in the core game, you will get the chance here. Which is for me what made the game worth playing after getting through the story.

Other key falloutesque things such as dialogue, quests, equipment gathering, combat and the enemies you fight are not as great or satisfying as in other DLCs or indeed the main game. The setting is probably the least creative of the lot (havent played Lonesome Rd yet).

The final boss fight is a total letdown however, and there are balance issues if you attempt this DLC late in the game. As you will get many tribesmen warriors to help you. Though fighting beside The Burning Man will undoubtably bring a smile to your face. Cool NPC.

Overall the DLC did not provide that much of a new experience, but it was worth playing for the story and the characters you meet (inc. the NPCs that join your party).

Still Id recommend it just to get a few more hours worth of this monumental game.
