Fallout 3 is incredibly large, deep, and plain fun game that will suck hours and hours out of you. It takes place in Washington D.C. after the United States suffers a nuclear attack during the The Great War of 2077 which consisted of the U.S., the Soviet Union, China, and other countries. You play as a young adult that has grown up in a large nuclear bomb shelter called 'Vault 101' with your father, until after your 19th birthday, ups and leaves. Your quest is then to go and find him, and on your way, you encounter all sorts of interesting personalities.
On the way, you make special relationships that will help or hinder you in the savage wastes of the post-apocalyptic District of Columbia. People like friendly sheriffs, radical religious fanatics, disgruntled doctors, peppy researchers, sleazy tavern owners, and lets not forget disfigured mutants suffering from alterations due to radiation. In order to find your father and aid others in need, you will need to acquire special skills, and use them to do things like unlock doors, hack computers, persuade or intimidate people, and just straight up shoot things in the face.
I would highly recommend this to pretty much anybody and everybody. People who haven't played the previous games should not fret, because they aren't tied together very much anyhow. I would recommend this to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox gamers all the same. Pretty much anybody who plays video-games should try to experience this masterpiece of a Title.
