F1 2006 was excellent, F1 2010 beats it in many ways but lacks in others. Worth the upgrade costs. F1 fan = Must have

HI

Very short review.

I had F1 2006 on PS3, loved it, still love it, despite the cars being out of date, the rules all wrong with current requirements the overall feel to the game was good. Easy that anybody could drive the game and win.

For me it was a big Gamble, trading in 2 games and getting £9 still for F1 2006 just to buy the £40 F1 2010. I often thought and I selling a classic and buying a dud?

Well F1 2010 drives great, there are extras like the pddock, Garage, engineers, and great weather effects. The driving is spot on, with driving lines that change colour and all the same views incar from 2006. Driving aids are good, I take off the braking aid but leave everything else on and its just about right. Its also the same kind of issue that most games have, start off in a low teams and then win contracts to the big teams. Aims are set about right, such as finish 18th on the grid etc.(lotus teams)

Bugs? I haven't really seem many, I have it on PS3 so not sure, lets hope they dron't crop up too much, surely a update will cure this.

My hates are: LACK of commentary, I love it on FIFA games and F1 2006 but only a pit radio on f1 2010. Sad.

Update options, you should have a update area that you can pay an upgrade fee via xbox live or PS3 Home so that at the end of next season for a small cost you could change the team names etc.

I hate having to buy F1 2011 for £40 again and only getting £8 for 2010 just to change the teams names!

Well thats about it, haven't read my review back to myself and no spell check.

Have fun.
