not as surprising as the gimmicks says... its just another GRID in F1 appearence... less depth and more arcade feel...

for me who played PC Sim race such as GTR & r-Factor... this game has more arcade feel... how the car behave, feels, and realism is far below my expectation... eg: i could manage to win the race in hard difficulties without any assist (TC. ABS, Etc) with HRT car... this is out-rule the technical factor in the reality, which speed and handling of low team car can out-pace the top team car...


race is fun, overtaking is possible in every corner... AI is rushing each other so the ideal racing line is less important, since you can push the car to the limit and take the opportunities to outbrake them while they rush each other because correcting an under-steer here is easy... the car feel like floating...

car setting, dynamics, and weather change doesnt feel so much significant... i feel similiar car characteristic in dry and wet, if i could say, F1 challenge from SCEA has better dynamics on how the car behave at wet tracks... it still less slippery than it should, the braking point and throttle point just similiar as u drive the same in dry, but has significant gap in lap time, which i don't know why...

if you're a fan of F1 this game is accommodating you the latest installment of the current car, track and team so you can feel the atmosphere of being F1 driver... but if you're not, this game just fun and give you a big question about everything... since it tells very small number of tutorial and explanation about F1 rule, technical issue, and driving lesson... e.g: (pit stop manual box is really confusing for beginner and for some reason the pit process has bug, sometime you are held to stop very long in the pit box, and sometime your car or AI car can penetrate through your car)

last but not least... codemaster has done good job, but it really need more improvement how to develop a serious racing simulation :)
