F.E.A.R. is the console version to and amazing PC first person shooters back in 2005. Both the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 versions are replicas of a great PC title, but can and probably will feel out dated. True F.E.A.R. fan may find the console version somewhat exhilarating, but to others, the console versions to F.E.A.R. will be over shadowed with other great looking titles out on ether systems, that will neglect F.E.A.R.
While the graphics and game-play may not be as satisfying at it was on the PC, the two things F.E.A.R. does really well (that will never change) despite being on a console, is the story and the "fear". F.E.A.R. being on a next gen console does show its age, but it's still a great title nonetheless. The graphics are good (for it's age), the game-play is still good and fun, but to the PC version fans, it may not be as existing as it was using a mouse and keyboard. The sound-effects are great and just as creepy as the PC version was. The console versions (more so on the PS3 version) do suffer from minor frame rate and graphic glitches.
F.E.A.R. back on the PC is an amazing title, but the console versions may not be as forthcoming. It's not the fact that F.E.A.R. is an old title that make the console versions not as appealing as the PC version was, no! F.E.A.R. is still an amazing game despite what platform you play it on; it was just re-releasing in the wrong time, which should have came to the consoles a little earlier than it did.
Overall F.E.A.R. is a great game ether on the PlayStation 3 or the XBOX 360, but the game will probably appeal more to fans of the series. It's also a great chance for new fans to play the original F.E.A.R. as they continue the story with, F.E.A.R. 2.
