Really fun toy to get for the PlayStation 2, but can get very annoying repetitive sometimes.

This game looked a little interesting when I first opened it, because this is probably the first game I have ever played without using a controller. How the game works is, as you already may know, the first object that comes out of the box is the USB "EyeToy" Camera that comes out of the box, you can use the camera to interact with everything in the game like the menus and the actual mini games themselves. The Game itself comes with only 12 mini games, although very fun to play (Boxing Rules!), a playroom where you can do things like camera effects and play in the virtual room, and a video recorder where you can take a 1 minute video of yourself, save it to the memory card, and send it off to somebody. All of the minigames are very fun but it gets repetitive if you repeat playing certain minigames. Lighting can also be one of the biggest issues in the game as you *MUST use a huge light source, even if all the lights are on in your house, but if it's night time out side it still can be a big deal depending on which side of the camera is light or dark. The good news is that the EyeToy camera is also compatible with other EyeToy games, so if you get bored of EyeToy Play then just get a game like EyeToy Kinetic for example and you can pay the minigames in there and get fit :P. There are also starting to make other games like DDR and SingStar that are compatible with using the EyeToy Camera, even Tony Hawks Underground 2 can use the camera for face mapping on characters. Overall if you own a PS2 system or even a PS3 and you want a little Wii effect in your games, then you can try it out, and don't be afraid to give up an EyeToy game if you get bored and just buy another EyeToy compatible game.
