Excitebike has always been a classic. When people referred to the NES, you thought of Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, and Excitebike. Now Excitebike is back, and better than ever and for only 1000 Nintendo Points.

The gameplay is similar to the NES, you wheelie up hills and run over the slowpokes in the middle of the race. And if you are used to the NES controls, than you have the option of doing so. But if you're like me, you would stick to the new controls where you tilt the wiimote to land correctly, it makes it much easier to control.

The stages are fun and well designed, but repetitive. You have four cups with 4 tracks in each to make a total of 16 tracks. This may not seem like many, but they are difficult to master. And if you happen to beat them all and get tired of them, there is track editor just like in the NES version that lets you make fun tracks and share them with your friends. The flaw is that instead of letting you go to a different part of the world on every track, they would, for example, put a Mexico themed track in 3 of the cups, making you feel like you've done it before instead of putting a new place in the world there.

The game is very fun, and is an much improved version of the original. The replay value is great and you will see yourself playing every five minutes to beat single-player mode and get the most points on Wi-Fi. Without a doubt, this is one of the better Wiiware game on the market and is well worth 1000 Nintendo Points.
