When it comes to cartoons in the ninteys, their were so many, and their were so many memorable ones, I mean literally pretty much every cartoon on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon at the time were awesome their was really no bad cartoon at the time. Now if you go to these stations you will be lucky to find one or two good ones, but I'm getting off topic, When I first saw Ed Edd and Eddy on TV to be honest I was a little bit turned off from it, I just didn't get it, but later on in elementary school I met a friend and we started watching it again, and from then on I loved the show, and I used to watch it every day, to this day I would still say it is one of my favorite cartoons ever. So how could you go wrong with this game? do you really want to know? Well I guess I'll have to torture myself and tell you.
Story:Their really isn't technically a story to this game instead you go through levels of the game that try to create an episode of its own, the only problem is that you only get too watch actaul animation of these episodes in the start and end of the level, this isn't bad but a bit dissapointing because the cut scenes in the game our really ugly. Speaking of the animations just look at them, they look like crap, did the creators of the show draw these? I hope not because if they did they better have had time constraints because they look flat out ugly. Some of the animations on the characters don't even look right and these our supposed to look like the show, just take a look for yourself, and the voice acting dosen't always match up with the talking, did they even try! what an insult!
Presentation: The look of this game is just ugly, seriously, I know that this is the gamecube, but the look of every character doesn't look even close to what they look like in the cut-scenes, just look at Eddy. The soundtrack in this game isn't bad it's music from the show and that isn't terrible, but they use most tracks over and over again so it can get quite annoying. while this game is terrible in regards to presentation it does have some what of a charm to it because of the witty commentary of the character saying things from the show but even after a while that starts getting annoying. The presentation just like the story fails to impress.
Gameplay: What to say about the gameplay? is their really anything you can say about the gameplay? well for starters this game is one of the shortest games I have ever played, I mean seriously, you can beat this game within three hours and completing the whole game would probably take a total of five hours. Do I really need to say more about the gameplay? Well if I have too. This game also gets the award for the most annoying enemies in a video game. All they really are our animals like squirrels and clams that our everywhere and attack out of nowhere and if that wasn't annoying enough their our some other types of these enemies that will cling on to you and hurt you every second they our on you and you must jump to get them off, and they take forever just to fall off and then after that they go after you again and cling on you again, another problem with this is that the hit detection is horrible and it takes like three hits to kill these things. This is absolute garbage! how stupid can you be to think that these were good enemies! The basic gameplay is mostly just walking around doing stupid things like shooting Jimmy's dolls with a slingshot, it's really stupid and half the time the game mechanics don't even work properly for these parts. Their really isn't a whole lot to say, their is only six levels and pretty much all of them our mediocre.
(Spoiler Alert) The last level is a maze like level and to be honest it's a decent level compared to the other crappy levels. The final boss is the kankers and it's pretty simple to beat them you throw cans at four switch like things and bash into the the platform their standing on and that's it great boss battle huh. The endings kind of funny, the ed's lost their jawbreakers yet again after you finally think they our going to snag them from the kankers, but that's it, that's the game.
Overall the show is amazing the game on the other hand is crap it's shovel-ware so what should you really expect, but come on, especially the price point could you imagine paying fifty dollars for a game that is three hours long, and not just that but the worst three hours of your live. i'll i got to say is it sucks.
