Truly One-Of-A-Kind!!!

Earthbound is quite possibly one of the best RPGs that I've ever been fortunate enough to play. The game itself is impressive for all of its memorable features and its uniqueness.

The game sets place during the 1990s in a town where a young boy named Ness lives. During the night, a meteorite crashes and wakes up Ness. This is where the adventure begins. From here to the end, you'll be facing off against the most bizarre of enemies. All of them trying to stop you from foiling Master Giygas, a monster from the future, and his plans of taking over.

The storyline of the game is unique in that it is set in the modern day. There's no flying gryphons, magic wielding elves, or orcs to slay... None of that. In this game you fight crazy aged hippies, the local shark street gang, stops signs, coffee pots, and much much more. Adding to this, it's no surprise that the character scripts in this game are hilarious and very quirky. The jokes are still funny to this day which adds to its replay value.

The fighting system in this game has a first person perspective which breaks away from the typical third person perspective that you may find in a popular RPG such as the Final Fantasy games.

The sounds in this game are extremely good and very memorable. It's one of the many high qualities in the game. Each song has it's own characteristic and feel that's perfect for its corresponding time in the game.

Last, and most importantly are the characters. The character development in this game is well balanced. It provides enough insight into the history of the characters to understand their own personalities but does not go too in depth as to become side tracked from the main conflict with Gigyas.

As you go through the good and bad times with Ness and his companions. No matter what, you'll be in for a great experience. Be sure to get your hands on this classic!
