You really need the original to enjoy this.

The very hard stems from the new difficulty level VERY HARD (or xtreme as they call it in this series). No offence, this game is a good expansion pack, but it suffers from the fact it tries to stand alone but relies too heavily on the DW4 disc to give most of its enjoyment. Gameplay: Have you played DW3 or DW4? The gameplay doesn't change for Koei's Warriors games - ever! It ain't bad, but it's not memorisation heavy either. Don't expect many beatemup style counters either. Graphics: No big new here, a couple of tweaks, and that's about it. Sound: Again, no movement, except for a few lines, said in character (unlike Empires...) Value: Time consuming if you want the best. Really is for the experienced campaigners though - Xtreme mode and 11th weapons are a huge tax on your skills. I have just two of the little blighters, out of 47. Final Word: You need a copy of the original to fully enjoy the game. Great additions, but not a great game on its own.
