The BEST PS2 game to date!
Dynasty Warriors 4 XL is my first DW game! And for the most part It's really one of the best PS2 games to date! Even Better Than Burnout3! DW4XL is an update to DW4. Although I don't own DW4, DW4XL is still great. In DW4XL you can take on the campaigns in Legend mode. You can also do Xtreme mode in which you select a character (one from so many!) and do a campaign. You don't heal after each mission in Xtreme mode but you can buy items to help and heal you! In challenge mode, You can take on a variety of modes including Endurance where you defeat as many people until you die! Multiplayer seems very mastered. Koei really knew how to do multiplayer as you can do a co-op legend mode (same as 1player legend campaigns but with 2 players!), and a separate versus mode where you can PvP in multiple scenarios! The graphics (I will play just about any game regardless of graphics!!) are very solid and all the everything is well textured and NOT Pixely! The music goes well with the game but can become repetitive, so have your Ipod and speakers ready to play some great Rock while you play! Really the only knocker on this game is that when you start an Xtreme mode Mission, you must continue the mission or reset your ps2 because there is no quit option. Without this hitch this game could have easily been a 10! It costs $9.99 used at Gamestop. Grab a used copy and have yourself endless fun!!!
