An addictive tactical shooter with a lot of RPG elements thrown in for fun.

User Rating: 8.5 | Dust 514 PS3
When I first played Dust 514 it was because I had no games on my PS3 when it came back from the shop. I wasn't in a rush to buy any new games until GTAV came out so I downloaded Dust to keep myself busy.

The difficulty curve for this game is challenging at first. You will be destroyed by players who have built up their skill trees or by elite squads who strategize their approach to combat.

After spending a few hundred hours grinding out my skill tree I can tell you that the game gets a whole lot better once you've spent some time building up your character and learning the ins and outs of the game. The more time you put into it the more you get out of it.

One of the most interesting things about this game is the skill tree. There are so many varied approaches to creating a solid build that any RPG/Tactical Shooter fan will love creating a uniquely skilled mercenary.

You can play tons of classes, from snipers to heavy machine gunners to logistic experts and drivers. The maps are humungous and snipers will love the long stretch of terrain laid out in front of them while run and gunners will love hiding in the cluttered cover of facilities while drivers will love running over unlucky opponents and traversing the map in a short amount of time.

The game modes are bare boned at the moment but with 30k players online the community is much larger than that of Wii U's Black Ops 2 community and just as polite and well mannered.

This game delivers a lot of goodness, and it only gets better the more you play.
