Driver San Francisco... its like a movie... a not so good, not so bad C category movie

Driver San Francisco... - for a console it might be alright - even highly entertaining ... for a PC user, not so much...

You see, when you play a driving game in which there is traffic, usually you need to avoid it... but in this game no... you can hit whatever you want, because there are no consequences, you don't need to spend money on repairing it, you can just "shift" into another brand new car...

I have to admit, at first it seemed quite fun... but after the first couple of hours it just got really tedious and annoying...

And don't even let me start about the steering of the cars... though that may be my fault for having a keyboard...

Still, if you want a great driving game with traffic, I think that GTA has what you need, because mostly its that kind of handling... and GTA is a bit more fun because, well honestly, you get to kill people... there are no greenhopper people in GTA that hop out of the car's way everytime you drive on the sidewalk...
Here if you like this game, it's actually recommended to drive on the sidewalk... because it seems that hitting lamp posts, and other such things don't affect your speed at all... - and you don't have traffic on the sidewalk.
The police won't try to stop you unless you hit a police car... - and since all police cars appear on the radar, you have nothing to worry about - not to mention that you can "shift" into another car once the police are after you...

What I don't get is why - during a car chase - you can't "shift" into the car that's being chased, and stop it ... the gameplay mechanics are interesting, but I think they haven't thought this through ...

The story probably makes sense only in the mind of the coma person you are trying to "impersonate".

This game tries really hard to be something which it's not going to become... I mean uploading directly to youtube... I'm quite curious how many people would do that... after they have seen the number of controls for the replay recording cameras...(which by the way is a total mess and there are still not enough controls to put the camera where you want)

The good: Graphics, nice modeling of San Francisco

The mediocre: soundtrack, gameplay technicalities... story

The bad:
You don't get to drive the really nice cars right from the start;
Handling of most cars is horrific with a keyboard;
Highly, and I mean HIGHLY repetitive....

If you bought this game, just stick to the story missions, the other mini-missions are really just fodder...
