A great game, with wonderful world customization and RPG-like story, but this game is a bit too short!

User Rating: 8.5 | Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter DS
Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, is an action-puzzle platformer, where you can draw your own characters and items, like weapons and platforms. The creation section of the game is very robust, with lots of color choices. Guides are also included to make yourself a character if you don't feel like you are a great artist.
This game is a slow paced platformer, which encourages exploration. The levels are a large variety, including jungle and space themed worlds. Sometimes, the levels feel a bit repetitive because the missions are almost the same thing (rescue someone, find a part to something, ect.)
The story is a direct continuation of the prequel, Drawn to Life. You are the creator, who makes a hero to continue to help the Raposa people, whose world is losing all of their color, due to Wilfre. Sometimes, the non-interactive elements of the plot take over the gameplay. The story is a wonderful one, and it is touching at times. I will not reveal the ending to the story, but it will surprise you!
My only complaint with this game is that the story is pretty long, and the cutscenes are pretty lengthy. This game is meant for kids, but most kids I know won't give a crud about a story and want to jump in and start playing.
Also, this game is too short. There are only four and a half worlds in this game, with six levels for each. I beat the game in a day, and there isn't a lot of replay value, only to collect pirate coins and re-play stages.
But, overall, this game is a wonderful platformer.
