Drakensang is a great RPG with beautiful visuals, good story and finally a party of characters to play with!

I've only just started playing the game, so I might not see the technical issues that the GS reviewer mentions, but terrible voice acting? Not at all. In fact, when the characters do talk (there's a lot of reading in this game) I think the voice acting is superb!

The GS reviewer also mentions that the story is generic when again, my experience is quite the opposite as I find the story quite enjoyable. It might not be completely original, but it definitely keeps you motivated to keep playing and unlike some other RPGs (Oblivion) I'm actually interested in the main story here.

I'll have to update my review once I get further into the game, but as it stands, I'd definitely recommend this game to ANY RPG fan, and even those who aren't. The fact that you actually have a party of characters to play with is great (though some of them leaving at different intervals is a bit of a letdown) the visuals are superb, so far the quests are interesting and there's plenty of side quests. My only grievance as of yet is that the dialogue isn't acted out throughout the entirety of the game (If I wanted to read a book, I'd do so in the traditional way) and I had to do a google search to figure out how to upgrade my character. At any time during the game you can press the red wax seal icon on your character screen (c) to activate the upgrade system and apply whatever upgrades you might choose. I actually think this method of upgrading is ingenious as you don't have to wait for hours to upgrade your skills which really helps when you're only a few points away from being good at any one skill (like Plant Lore for harvesting plants).

All tolled, Drakensang definitely gets a high five for coolness and enjoyability and I'd say its much more enjoyable than the GS reviewer lets on (unless the game really goes downhill after the first few chapters).

I look forward to the expansion!
