Over 60 weapons to collect and level up, no bonus bosses to slay except for the fact of multiple endings to see and collect. There's a lot of CGI which is pretty much typical of a Square game, and they're pretty top notch. Combat can get repetitive since when you slay a soldier, they dont scream about their deaths which is very annoying since there's blood aboundful, and not an ounce of a deathscream when they fall. There's a lot here that can get one shocked in horror as the surprises and endings can be quite...gothic to say the least. Other than that Drakengard is a good start for Square to venture into other areas other than the traditional turnbased or real time RPGs.
