Amazing visuals, repetitive and boring gameplay... Not "the best". Pretty bad
When first announced, this game looked like the best thing to ever come out of the DBZ franchise. I've been looking for a rock my socks off experience since the Budokai and Tenkaichi sequels. Come to find out, all but graphics turned out to be complete doo doo...
DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi has the best presentation in all of the DBZ franchised games. From the details and light effects on characters and beams to the environmental destruction, this game wins so much. If i could rate based on graphic display, i'd say its a 8 to 9.5
The whole combat system should be scrapped. It is that bad. After playing the Story mode for like 15 minutes, I found out that every characters combos end up being the same, there is a game of luck involved in the QTE system, and it is not fun. The QTE saps the excitement out of this sooo much. When did we have to have an Event for almost everything we do?? Never this much. B3 kind of did it but it was used A LOTTT less...
I remember back when BT3 was out, I had to clench my butt cheeks sooo hard fighting Frieza or Broly because it was a challenge. Now I just fall asleep playing this. I don't have to tighten my cheeks, the game does it for me.. and that's not what i buy a DBZ game for..
Bottom line, this game is not the best DBZ game release like people are saying. It looks cool, worth a little bit of time, but definitely not worth $60 bucks. Save your money for the next DBZ game... sigh... If that one is even worth buying
