A slow, clumsy title that causes more pain than pleasure in many cases.

User Rating: 6.9 | Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku GBA
As one of the first English Dragon Ball Z games, The Legacy of Goku isn't at all what it should have been. I was disapointed greatly by its short lived story and extremely easy gameplay.

But alas, I am here to judge the game on how it is, and not how it should be.

I was expecting more out of the gameplay. It was way too easy and short, as i have already said. There weren't enough abilities and only one playable character, not to mention the pathetic rewrite of the story and weird environments. Most of the "fighting", if you will, is running from your enemies, turning around, and punching them, the performing the same pattern sevenfold or more times.

The graphics were actually very good. I have not spotted any downfalls in this area, but i will say that the camera is rather annoying. No it doesn't get stuck or anything, but it's just really bothersome.

The sound is not impressive. It changes with the scene and drones on for ages. The BGMs will be stuck in your head hours after playing it, and there is no variety in tracks.

I don't mean to be offensive at all, but the value of this game sucked. You had to do worthless tasks like fetching a kid's sailboat and gathering flowers for a little girl, both pointless and unneccessary.

As for the tilt, I am a fan of DBZ, but I was disgusted. It has a little action, but most of your time will be spent running from your enemies who can kill you in about two hits, and the only way to avoid this is to defeat small snakes and squirrels in your forest home.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku is not reccomended for anyone who is not a fan of DBZ.
