Anyone who hates this game is really missing out.

To start off I have no idea as to why this game gets so much hate. Its no budokai 3 but still. The gameplay is partially beat-em up but I thought of it more as action-adventure. To some the combat may seem sluggish but I don't have a problem with it. As you progress you will be getting quite a few combos, however I don't find myself using them all that often. Something I do use often though are the super moves such as Kamehameha or galick gun. These combos/techniques will require Z-coins which you will find scattered throughout the levels and shops to purchase them from. Items also placed throughout levels are capsules that will either increase health(red capsules) or ki(yellow capsules). Speaking of levels the areas you go through are actually pretty well designed in my opinion. Each level gives you tasks to complete in order to advance the game. One thing that may get annoying is how you transform. You have a limited bar that can only be filled by attacking opponents and this can get annoying in areas where damage is only dealt as a super saiyan. If you have a friend or sibling that wants to play you can do two player co-op in the story. Between each level are little cutscenes which take scenes from the anime and have the narrator summarize the events which is great fan service and I love it. The graphics are decent but nothing special. The soundtrack is amazing though! I love this soundtrack and its hard not to. So the bottom line is this game is underrated and overhated. Any hardcore DBZ fan will love this game and even if you're not, give it a try.
