This is a huge downgrade from Budokai 3.

User Rating: 4 | Dragon Ball Z: Sagas PS2
At first, the Dragon Ball Z series looked imminent. The series went on as a pretty mediocre game development. Then Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 came it. It was a great game over all. Great graphics, fluent gameplay, nice sound, and overall, a good and solid game. Then atari went on to make Sagas. The first adventure Dragon ball Z game for all 3 D platforms. Sagas is a huge downgrade from Budokai 3. Gameplay: Absolutely horrible. It worked great with a side scroll on Budokai, becuz it was a fighter game. But as the limits become more vast, the way the game was played becomes more confusing and easily forgettable. Graphics: Bad bad bad. The cel shading looked really nice on the character of Budokai becuz it brought animation to the cartoon characters. But trying to make them more grittier with horribly polygonal displays and cheesy graphics just killed Atari's reputation. Sound: The sound is good. It brings back sound effecs from budokai, and it sounds like from the real anime cartoon (even though it's a horrible cartoon). It's authentic and solid. Value: This is worth your money... as a rental. Not worthy of actually buying. While it has much more longevity and lasting as a game itself than budokai, it's a good 15+ hours of total nothingness. Overall: Not worth your time, my time or anyone else's time. It's a bad game and has not achieved any significant changes from Budokai. It's a serious downgrade and it is a waste of money and time. If your eyes explode from playing the first 5 hours of this game, I'm not surprised.
