Impressed is just one word that comes to mind.

Oh my, oh my indeed, what do we have here? A fine example of what RPG games should all be like, that is what we have here. This game is just smooth, from the mechanics to the gorgeous graphics, this game really does not miss a step. I have played previous Dragon Age games in the past on my computer, but this is like comparing s*** to gold, the previous installments don't even come near to the level that this one has.

When I first bought this game, my thoughts were, is Dragon Age a series that can take itself to the next level of gaming, you know the one we are at now. I am not talking the simple games of the 90s or early 2000s, this is gaming as it should be, as it always should have been if it were technologically possible. Intense, deep story lines, beautiful graphics, outrageously smooth combat, beautiful open world landscapes, and of course with any game, lots of s*** to do.

Open world RPGs are suppose to be about exploration, discovery of character, and a connection to those that are not real, and Dragon Age does this on so many levels. It gives you free range to go, kill and slaughter anything in the game, explore the deepest darkest secrets, freely choose the fate of your fellow companions, and make open world decisions that actually affect the game you play.

One thing in particular that stood out to me was the fact that even though you choose your race, and class, like is so with any other RPG, you are not restricted to play the whole game as just that class. Your companions, not only range in a variety of different classes and special skills, are also fully playable people in the game, just as is your main character. This makes the game all the more fun, because it allows you to slaughter huge beasts with a combination of attacks from a bunch of characters that you control strategically, hell you can even pause the game and tell specific companions what exactly you want them to do, s*** is great.

Another thing that stood out to me would be the true beauty and depth of this game. I am a total junky when it comes to fan lore and large amounts of information in video games, and Dragon Age really hits this idea home. From in depth books, more characters than even the biggest novels, and outer stories that all fit into the grand scheme of things, Dragon Age has made a beautiful and fun world were you want to go and explore and be the best you could be. That is truly when a RPG game steals you, when you start to care and think about the game night and day, that is when the addiction gets bad.

I don't want to give too much information away, because I think most surprises are better for people to find out themselves, but this game is a home run if there ever was one. Truly impressed by what Bioware has done to a series that I barely even respected. keep up the good work developers, and as always keep gaming folks.
