Kicks ass just like the original and then some...

I am loving it! I haven't even finished it yet due to some bugs but it brings back the feel of the original with some extra cherries on top! I will give a more full review once I have beat it.

The statue is really awesome! Being modelled from the game files it is 100% accurate and the detail is amazing! I also like the spinning turbine that when switched on it gives it that hell look. Creepy yet really cool!

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

edit: (June 10 2016)

I finished the game on Monday just past (June 6 2016) and it was a blast. I loved every battle even though there were no crawler saves only checkpoints it was still an enjoyable experience. It made me more careful with my decisions and tactics. The single player is very much the strong point of the game. I haven't touched the multiplayer or snapmap and I don't think I will be. I played the Alpha, Closed beta and Open beta and though enjoyable I won't be playing it at all. Its too much like CoD and from what I've read Halo. They tried to combine too many different styles and it just doesn't work.

Now on to the CTD and dev mode bug. I can't believe that a once well respected developer has released a game with such a game breaking bug. My current play time is 41 hours. I did attempt a Nightmare run but I didn't get very far. The campaign is supposedly 12 hours in length yet it took me over 3 times that amount to complete due to having to redo entire sections for random unexplained CTDs. And still no patch. I expected more from id and Bethesda. Shame as now Bethesda is on my blacklist. I still like id as they have consistently made great games and continue to push the industry forward with their amazing tech but as for Bugthesda I am done with them.

If you like fast paced run and gun action then this game is a must. Just don't go in expecting it to be more than that. As for the multiplayer stay away. It is not Doom-like at all. And snapmap is a joke.

Until next time...
