id had such extremely limited resources to develop this game. I believe the total file size of this game comes in at less that 100kb. Remarkable for a game of this caliber to redesign itself, jump genres, and create a game that will keep you playing for hours. I spent many classes playing through this game and every now in then after completely losing myself in this Doom world I would think "how is this good of a game on a cell phone?"
The reason this game is so important is that while we are in a period where systems have to be more powerful, have better graphics, and deliver the best games, it is so refreshing to see how great storytelling, good execution, simple gameplay, and original ideas can make all of the difference. When you can take one of the most well-known franchises in game history and turn it into an action-rpg, that's special.
