So i've been a fan of the old dooms for awhile now adn was pretty happy to hear that doom 3 was making its way twards the xbox. So the day it came out i ran to my local game retailer and purchased the collectors edition ( worth it by the way ). I popped it in my xbox and was amazed...seeing all these monsters in a new light was like seeing old friends again But this feeling of wow quickly fadded. After countless scares and countless enimies slain the game began to drag...you begin to learn all its tricks and doom 3 looses its edge on you. So out of boredom i trudged my way to multiplayer and entered a co-op game..and wow it was a whole new game. Co-op is the way to go in doom 3 for xbox and worth getting the game alone. Ive had some of my best live moments on doom 3 online and co-op is extremly fun. Co-op has you and a fellow marine go through a shortened story where you respawn. This helps keep the online game going fast and since you have to run all the way back and grab your back pack this creats some insentive not to go get yourself fireballed to death. Now if your willing to dish out 10 extra bones you can nag yourself the collectors edition which adds some bonus video and ports of classic doom games: Ultimate Doom , and Doom 2. This in my opinion and as a doom fan is worth it. So the final verdict is If you like doom definitly pick yourself up a copy of this game and if your new to doom this is definitly a multiplayer experience that shouldnt me missed.
