Donkey Kong Junior is the son of Donkey Kong who must rescue his captured father.

Donkey Kong Junior followed closely on the heals of Donkey Kong. Similar to Donkey Kong but with a twist you play Donkey Kong Junior and you are trying to rescue your father Donkey Kong from Mario. It is assumed that in Donkey Kong that Mario was able to capture Donkey Kong and has since caged him up.

Gameplay: In this game you must learn how to jump and climb. You are again given three lives and play an endless game until you have lost all three lives.

Three unique levels are what you must get Donkey Kong Junior through in order to rescue his famous father Donkey Kong.

For dangers Donkey Kong Junior must learn to climb. He must also learn how to jump and grab vines at the right time. Missing a a vine will cause Donkey Kong Junior to fall to his death. Mario is present and will send snapjaws after Donkey Kong Junior who must avoid them at all costs.

Graphics: Above average for the Atari but with the three different levels. This is a solid above average.

Sound: Average for the Atari.

Value: If you were just getting into the Donkey Kong series this was a good game to get your collection started with. With some similar and unique gameplay when compared to Donkey Kong. This game is well worth having in your Atari collection.

Tilt: I was an arcade addict and Donkey Kong was a game that ate many quarters from me. Having a variety of arcade games to play was a plus for me. Having them on the Atari was even better.
