The game starts out with the antagonist turned hero Donkey Kong wearing his trademark red tie as he finds his hoard of bananas has been hoodwinked. You go out into the world with your heterosexual life-partner, Diddy, a pint size monkey sporting a red cap. Soon your crossing paths with walking crocodiles, beavers, vultures and bees all seemingly intent on preventing you from retrieving your stash. All of these creatures move on a pretty straight forward path, simple timing will get you through all of the challenges of the game. Eventually you make your way around the entire island to come up against an unmemorable final boss and are reunited with your over sized bananas.
