Re-Review: A true classic, and one of the greatest game sequels that the world has ever seen.

User Rating: 10 | Super Donkey Kong 2: Dixie & Diddy SNES
So, have any of you ever played Donkey Kong Country 2? ...Okay well that's a stupid question, LOTS of people have. Well then, I have respect for you, because this game is the very best of what a Sequel can manage. It's a non-stop thrill ride from beginning to end, challenging and creative, with breath-taking graphics (For an SNES game) and Unbelievable Music. This, is what a true sequel, really is. Where many other franchises have failed, this is one of those out there, that knows that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Gameplay:

Diddy Kong has been shocked to realize, that Donkey Kong has ended up being kidnapped by their enemy, King K.Rool (Who in this game, is now known as Kaptain K.Rool, due to the game's pirate scene.). After he was defeated by Donkey and Diddy in the previous game, he vowed his revenge by kidnapping him. So, Diddy Kong sets out on a Quest (Diddy's Kong Quest), along with his partner/girlfriend Dixie Kong, as they go out to save him, but will run into rather large obstacles, as K.Rool's baddies are out to defeat the 2 trying to save the big ape. The game is very fun, and has alot of challenge in it, to keep you on the edge of your seat, hoping you don't lose lives (And even worse, getting Game Over.), and hoping that you can defeat the bosses to advance to the next world. Easy at the start, but very challenging later on, so it provides an amazing amount of skill to beat this game with Little or No lives lost. So, big kudos for that.

Graphics:

For 1995, and for a Cartridge based-game: This is beautiful, and very detailed. While the original game already had looked gorgeous, this sequel made a few improvements, even though it wasn't necessary at all. Beautiful scenery, character models look good, and alot of other fancy graphical details make this one of the better looking SNES games to play.

Music:

I think you would have to be insane if you say that you didn't like the Music to this game. It is amazing, absolutely amazing. Each level had distinct music to them, I can't even think of one song that was bad. David Wise, excellent amount of Kudos to you for making this amazing Masterpiece of music.

Overall:

If you are trying to build an SNES collection: This is one game you definitely must add, it is a truly great spectacle of how good games were back then (Most new games are Derp.) I couldn't imagine people out there hating it, and if there is, they have to be insane. Definitely worth to play, even if it is just once.
