Half demon / Half angel / Half man.....................All Devil May Cry

It's been a minute since we've had a new Devil May Cry release. The last game in the series (Devil May Cry 4) was a good addition to the series, but in my opinion, the once incredibly clever and original series was starting to show some age in it's designs. Apparently publisher Capcom felt the same way, and turned development over to another independent development studio, Ninja Theory. The result is a familiar, but different experience from what fans have experienced before.

I'm not going to cover any of the story outside of a few points. The main character Dante is a mean fella on the outside, and is a pretty typical anti-hero. He has a potty mouth, and occasionally says things that may make you cringe, depending on your tolerance for that sort of thing. He fits into the world of the game pretty well, and there are several instances when the game does some really immoral things, which is getting really typical in games today.

The combat starts of pretty simple, and gives you more variety as you play. By the time you're 60% you have a very robust arsenal of moves. It's complicated enough that you could spend a fair amount of time to really get a solid handle on the moves, and which moves you like.

To me the star of this game is the world that it takes place in. I've never seen anything like it and its truly a sight to behold. It's a good game, and I hope to see a sequel to this in the future.
