Awesome for casual players and kids. Good for gamers who enjoy playing as a Guinea Pig with gadgets.

User Rating: 7.5 | Disney G-Force PC
Experience has shown that the majority of games based on movies tend to be pretty poor. But I picked this up anyway because: Hey! Guinea Pig Commandos!

To my surprise this game turned out pretty decent. While it doesn't really stand out in any category, it will easily provide a few hours of fun.

+Great voice-acting and Soundtrack
+Runs perfectly smooth
-Repetitive, dull level design
-Lacks challenge

Story:
Household appliances have come to life! Luckily we have a team of highly trained Guinea Pigs!

Needless to say: jump & run games for kids aren't exactly known for elborate stories. I take it this game's supposed to tie in to the Disney movie somehow.

Gameplay:
You're a Guinea Pig. A Guinea Pig with all sorts of gadgets including a jetpack, a whip, a plasma gun, IR goggles, and much more.
That said, G-Force is a by-the-book jump & run. For the majority of the game you'll be, you guessed it, jumping and running through a pretty straight-forward Office building while easily dispatching household appliances per melee or guns.
Obviously the game is being marketed towards younger and/or casual players, thus the difficulty, both combat and obstacles, are low, with the smooth controls being simple but satisfying.
The ability to uprade your equipment and deploy a fly called Mooch to help you are a nice addition but the overall gameplay is simple, albeit repetitive.
Compare this to Ratchet & Clank or Jak & Daxter games.

Graphics:
While the character models are done really well, the sterile office building environment is a real let down. The levels are built really straight forward and look very similar to one another due to lack of details and variations. Textures have been kept low and poly count on the environment is at a minimum. On the plus side, this means that the game runs smoothly even on maxed out resolutions.

Sounds:
Both Voice-acting and Soundtrack are superb. Obviously this is the result of being a movie tie-in.
Still, it's worthy of praise due to the fact that other movie based games are lacking in this department. The only bad thing that can be said, is that Quagmire from Family Guy is in a kids game.

Final Verdict:
-Awesome for casual players and kids. Good for gamers who enjoy playing as a Guinea Pig with gadgets.
If I could this would get a 7.75 cause it's definately better than average but lacks something that stands out to make it a full 8.0.
