A very good driving sim and for anyone who like driving games.
Modes
What you get is you start the reason as a Rookie and it has like a reputation system that lets you get over cars to drive as you level up throughout the season. There is plenty of different types of racing types like Rallying Events,Timed Events,Racing against other competitors and more to keep things fresh and you shall go all over the world to do so.
There are about 3 events each season then a big event and each has their own competition of a certain things. After that you seem to end the season and begin another giving it value. You have to acquire a certain number of points to move onto the next big event or open big events.
Gameplay
How does the game play now each kinda of vehicle has their own sort of handling qualities. The vehicles in the game range from a truck to a Rally car to like race cars. Also some events will be different to the other and the weather and time they are at play a key role. Gravel will make you skid a bit snowy conditions will be tricky and the normal tarmac means you shall feel right at home.
If you beat a race and are happy with your performance you can upload it to YouTube for people to see. Another feature which has been kept since GRID is the Flashback which if you mess up somewhere you can rewind it and try to take the corner better but you only get to use 5 per race.
There are some problems with the loading times and some of the moves you need to pull off like the Doughnut can be tricky and annoying to do. Also some races can be tricky at night and especially if your not driving a Rally Car because the instructor won't inform you of which way you need to turn so your more than likely to waste a few flashbacks on this.
The multiplayer isn't half bad either it has a wide variety of choices like Pro Tour and you pick what type of races you want to do. A Pro Jam which lets you join other people in groups and race across a certain number of tracks. It handles okay but the game can lag at times.
Presentation
The weather effects are very good especially in the snow and the rain and the darkness as well adds to the feel of the game but the voices when entering or finishing certain events can get annoying after a while.
Lastability
I'd say if you are a fan of racing games this could keep you occupied for a good old while especially with online play and a good career mode.
Overall Opinion
A very well executed driving simulator that plays very nicely and actually feels like your in complete control. With some nice racing types this is a must for anybody that loves racing games.
