It's Diner Dash and it's portable, and while the new art style isn't as good as the original game's, it's still as fun.

Diner Dash is a pretty successful casual game series. It deserves to be because it is as fun as it's made out to be, if not more. When I found out that it was on the PSP as a remake of the original, I was worried that the controls would be a problem, since the PC version is played with a mouse. But the controls are excellent, as is the gameplay.

You run a diner, seat people, take their orders, serve people, have them pay, and then clear up the tables. You can chain tasks, like dropping checks to all the people at once, to get a bonus. The game is actually rather easy and I managed to get an Expert ranking on every level, but it's still fun. There are different customers, for example bookworms are slow to order and eat but are patient whereas businesswomen are quick to order and eat but are extremely impatient. If a customer's patience runs out, they take 500 out of your money and leave.

It's pretty much the same as the original game, but the art-style has been changed to a more childish, shall we say, appearance, and while it is cute it's not as good as the original game's cartoonish art style. The sound effects are good, and the music, though there is little of it, is good.

So while I would recommend getting the PC version if you have to have only one version, the PSP version is very good for portable play as well and is just as fun as the original.
