Move over, Mario. Diddy Kong wants a piece of that Kart. Yes, this game is incredible. I'd say it ties some games; like...say...Mario Kart 64. Yes, there, I said it. It's that good. Granted, it copies a lot from that franchise but it does have it's own unique set of features deep inside that wonderful cartridge. Anyway, not only can you enjoy solo mode which takes you through some wonderful courses -- you can share these courses with your three other friends! The best part, of which I like best in Diddy Kong Racing is that it's accessible to anyone. Mario Kart 64 intended more towards the "multiplayer" crowd. While Diddy Kong Racing wants to entertain both audiences. It's the perfect combination and for the most part; it nails it. The multiplayer isn't as predictable as people thought. It's probably the most creative thing I've ever seen done on the N64. It's like a mix of battle mode with racing; and it's the most adrenaline-pumping thing I've ever played as a kid. Oh, the nights I could have spent playing this game for hours on end. I'd highly recommend this for any arcade racing nut still out there.
